Sense of rhythm
by learning Sevillanas with Puela Lunaris
through this easy-to-download online course.
Enjoy yourself learning Sevillanas, an exciting, highly structured dance from Seville (Spain), the city where legendary Carmen lived and loved.
One of Spain’s oldest and most traditional dances, Sevillanas are the Flamenco of the people. Sevillanas are a colorful, social, partner dance that Spaniards dance when we are among our own, and at celebrations. Sevillanas are also popular as part of the repertoire of Flamenco shows presented on the stage.
Rosario, distinguished dancer and teacher to the royal family of Spain, said that Sevillanas is the mother of Flamenco dance. Probably, that is the reason why in Spain, Sevillanas is one of the first dances to be studied, as it gives you a great foundation for all the other Flamenco dances.
In this Video-Course DOWNLOAD you will find:
1. Introduction by Puela Lunaris, explaining the relevance that Sevillanas have in her Southern Spanish culture.
2. Demonstration with the music, while a counter on the lower left side is counting the beats for you.
3. The entire Sevillanas dance clearly taught step by step and practiced with the music.
4. Partner demonstration
5. Performance with live music
6. Sevillanas por Bulerias - A very special and exclusive performance given by Puela Lunaris at the Throne Room of Alexander the Great in the ancient city of Babylon.
"Puela Lunaris method is clear and to the point. Her version of the sevillanas is one of simplicity, grace and versatility."

An excellent, unique resource for sevillanas
"It should be clear by now that this video is a treasure, an absolute treasure. I am currently taking beginner flamenco classes and learning the sevillana as part of these. They are quite complicated, at least at first, and any online reference material has not been very good at explaining the dance part of it. To have a video at this price not only run down the entire choreography but also show variations is truly exquisite. The two performances at the end are an extra treat."

"This video is good for a beginner to get an idea for the dance. The instructors dark clothes contrasts nicely with the stark white background during the teaching portions so that the footwork is highly visible. The performance sections are entertaining without being intimidating. The instructor has a heavy Spanish accent to her English but not too difficult to understand."
