The first step to recognizing Flamenco Styles is to download the Anthology and start listening. In the Anthology, the different styles (called Palos) are conveniently classified by albums. Every song is clearly labeled so you know what you are listening to, and therefore you will be able to name the styles and recognize them when you hear them.
The Legendary Gypsy Masters Anthology sells for $189.81. However, when you become a benefactor of Dances of the World Society (Benefactors are those who donate $68 or more) you can have the entire Anthology as a gift, (which includes all of the albums below) completely free of charge. We continue with the deep jondo styles, this double album is dedicated to the sorrowful gypsy songs of haunting beauty called Siguiriyas or Seguiriyas. Same as with the Soleares, you will get a clear example of how different it is when the style is sung to accompany the interpretation of a dance.
